When a person has an issue with their eye health they become very concerned about it. The contraction of cataracts is the most common eye issue people face in America, but it is not the only one. Typically, they will get a recommendation for some type of surgery and they find that unappealing and some will look for what alternate options may be available. Sometimes people will do some natural things, but will not see the progress they wanted and don’t know what to do next. I would like to address that issue and make some suggestions for your considerations.

Don’t Give Up!

I know it is discouraging when we do not see quick results or the results are not at the level that we desire. When you are talking about your eyes you must make every effort and never quit and think there is no hope. An initial disappointment just means we need to reevaluate our strategy and keep moving forward with things that can potentially help us.

Eating Right for Your Eyesight

It is important to eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. To get the most nutrient value from fruits and vegetables we should eat them raw especially when they are non-GMO organic. Some foods to focus on would be carrots, leafy green vegetables, cruciferous vegetables, citrus fruits, sweet potatoes, green beans, eggs, berries, corn, nuts, seeds and grass-fed meat. The more anti-inflammatory foods you eat the better.

Getting the Right Vitamins

Essential eye vitamins would include vitamins C and A, lutein, zeaxanthin, omega 3’s, and glutathione. Lutein can help lower risk for AMD, zeaxanthin helps protect the eye’s tissue, lens and macula which clears vision and prevents glare. Zinc will benefit tissues because it plays a vital role in proper cell division and cell growth. Vitamin C and glutathione help fight free radicals and protect your vision. Omega 3’s help stabilizes blood sugar levels which lowers inflammatory responses and helps fight eye damage caused by diabetes.

Practical Protocols

Perhaps you have tried some of these things and still are not where you want to be. It may be that you were doing the right things, but not doing them aggressively enough. I would suggest getting more aggressive with the following protocol. I would use Vision Clarity NAC Drops – 1 drop in each eye 5 to 6 times a day. I would suggest 25,000 IU’s of vitamin A, 20 mg of lutein, 25 mg zinc (which are in our Life Vitality Ultra Eye and Vision Support) as well as other helpful nutrients. Use ascorbate (buffered) vitamin C 6,000 mg daily divided in three doses. I would suggest doing 100 mg to 500 mg of glutathione daily.
